    1. Common Nail: Not a galvanized nail which means it can rust if put in the wrong place.
      They are mostly used for rough construction of inside wall framing.
    2. Box Nail:  These are used for trim. They do not have structural strength.
    3. Finishing Nail:  Are nails that are thin and can be driven in past the wood so they can not be seen.
    4. Casing Nail:  Is similar to the finishing nail. It is used to attach trim and baseboards.
    5. Brad:  They are used in attaching moldings, frames, and cabinetwork.
    6. Roofing Nail: They are larger than the averaged sized nail with a bigger head to hold shingles on the roof.
    7. Masonry Nail: Used for concrete applications.
    8. Cut Flooring Nail:  These are very strong and are usually used in a nail gun for flooring jobs.
    9. Spiral Flooring Nail: Used for nailing sub floors.
    10. Annular Ring Nail: They are usually galvanized ringed nails that will not rust. They are used for siding
      shingles and underlayment and different types of paneling.
    11. Duplex Nail: This nail is used in temporary construction such as scaffolding. Its design allows for quick seeding and
      easy removal after the job is done.
    12. Drywall Nails: They have rings on their shafts so that they can be used for drywall. These have great holding power for this purpose.
